This is a fabulous, easy to understand, informative course! There is something here for all levels of expertise, from beginner to pro. Master Creative Photography provides basic editing tips for Photoshop (including some WONDERFUL overlays) as well as insight into color theory and selecting cohesive elements for a balanced and consistent image that relays emotion and story.  I have certainly gained a better understanding of “photographing with intent.”  The four-part editing tutorials are clear and detailed. I learned several new techniques, and I have been using Photoshop for several years! I definitely recommended this course to anyone who wants to better understand how to capture and create beautiful, impactful, story-telling photography.

I was fortunate enough to be selected as a tester for this amazing tutorial, and to leave an unbiased and honest review. I would class myself as an intermediate Photographer with basic Lightroom and Photoshop skills. Nicki’s teaching style is very straight forward and super easy for any beginner to understand, but with plenty of in depth knowledge to make it interesting and really worth taking the time to listen and watch. There was plenty for me to learn, from beginning to end. The course is well structured, and I love that it’s done in sections, so it’s easy to go back to a part you want to revisit. I’m sure I will be back many times to re-watch, and try and incorporate the beautiful editing style Nicki shows here into my own work (if I’m ever so lucky to be able to create a stunning image like this). This course surprised me with the amount of information that was included. Not only did it show me how to recreate my very own version of this beautiful photo with the overlays that were included but I learned some incredibly useful tips about planning for a photo. Each time I do a photoshoot I always have a certain vision in my mind and tend to match outfits accordingly but this course gave me a new perspective on how you really need to consider more than just the clothing so that everything comes together perfectly to match the image you have in your mind. Things such as the type of light (I never even heard of blue hour before), coordinating colors, posing, location and styling all play an important role to help you achieve this. Not only did the course give a good background on setting up for the shot you want to take but it had excellent step by step guidelines on how to then create the photo in photoshop. I personally learn much better being able to watch someone firsthand so being able to see the editing process from start to finish was exactly what I needed which enabled me to learn several little tricks that I didn’t know before. Seeing how to use different tools in photoshop, shortcuts and exactly what to do with overlays as well as stock images and where to find them was a great learning experience for me and a process that I very much enjoyed. I am so excited to see what I can create with the knowledge and tools that I have received from this course. Thanks again, I look forward to more in the future!
